DISTANT WILDFIRE I wanted to capture the beauty of the changeful shapes of clouds. Clouds hold such emotion, even when created by something as destructive as a wildfire. The smoke cloud coming from a fire has a heavyweight and is almost tangible in how it billows out in a plume. I wanted to show the contrast of this furious cloud in the distance to the serene and lazy shadows in the foreground created by the late afternoon sun.
