A quiet autumn landscape captured in layered paper collage.
Golden grasses glow across the distant hillside, warmed by the light of the changing season, while cooler greens, muted scrub, and evergreens fill the foreground. A winding creek creates a natural path through the wooded landscape, drawing the eye toward the luminous hillside beyond.
I created this piece using layers of paper, building the landscape much as a painter might build an image with color and value. The contrast between warm golden grasses and the cooler, darker vegetation gives the scene its depth while capturing the peaceful atmosphere of an autumn afternoon.
Each piece of paper contributes to the texture, color, and character of the finished landscape, making this a one-of-a-kind original artwork.
