A NEW PAGEThe phrase “a new page” often describes beginning again after something difficult. In thinking about this idea, I was drawn to the physical act of tending and rebuilding—what it means to continue after effort has already been spent. The work reflects a moment where care, patience, and persistence quietly make space for something new.
My impressionist collage process relies on layering and reusing printed paper, allowing fragments to remain visible rather than concealed. This approach mirrors the idea of starting over not as a clean break, but as a gradual reassembly of what already exists. The presence of text within the paper subtly reinforces the idea of a page, connecting material, process, and meaning. Rather than offering a fixed narrative, this piece leaves room for interpretation, inviting viewers to consider their own experiences with renewal, resilience, and beginning again.
