MEMORIAL DAYA small piece for a plein air competition in a local city (a part of the Salt Lake Valley/Wasatch Front area) over two days. This was painted in a cemetery depicting the morning light backlighting a tree looking over the graves still adorned with remembrance flowers. I wanted to capture the peaceful, sunny stillness of morning, and how the colors of the decorations seemed like colorful bokeh dotting the lawn.
