CACTUS SKYThis piece grew from my interest in capturing landscape on an intimate scale, distilling expansive environments into small, focused moments. I was drawn to the challenge of translating the vastness of the desert into a miniature format while preserving its sense of light, depth, and atmosphere.
The scene’s vivid contrasts especially appealed to me: warm yellows and oranges in the foreground set against cool blue and violet mountains beyond. The presence of the saguaro and the clarity of the desert light create a visual balance that feels both vibrant and serene. Through this work, I wanted to celebrate the beauty of these fleeting landscape windows that invite closer attention.
